. THE MONTHLY MEETING Tlie Taranaki Land Board met at New Plymouth yesterday. Present: Messrs. G. 11. Billiard (commissioner), in the chair, and C. J. Evan, John Hislop, and J. W. H. Martin. APPLICATIONS FOR LAND. The following applications for land were dealt with.—Section 10, block 4, Ohura, lOac. 3rd., B. Wrigley.—Granted, subject to the usual conditions at annual rent of £2 10s-. Section 15, block IG, Aria s.d., 9ac. 3rd. lp., G. Jebb.—Granted subject to the usual conditions at 10s per acre annual rent. Crown lands, block 2, Tangitu e.d., lac., Tangitu Hall Society Incorporated— Granted subject to usual conditions at 10s per acre rental. Block 2, Tangitu s.d., three acreg, M. J. O'Reilly.—Granted .subject to the usual conditions, the fixing of the rent to be left in the chairman's hands. Collins, lessee of l.i.p. section 7, block 7, Waro, 434 acres, applied for exemption from residence as he has venlisted for active service.—Twelve months' exemption grantedi W. G. French, lessee of o.r.p. sections 14 and 16, block 6, Aria, 854 acres, applied for exemption from residence as he has enlisted for active service.—Twelve months' exemption granted. Mr. F. M. Standish waited on the Board with regard to the price fixed by the Board for the sale to him under section 131 of the Act of lots 61, G2-, block 3, Huiroa s.d. The Board decided to adhere to price already fixed and agreed to by the Minister. The Board (in coniittee) dealt with a number of applications for consent to mortgage, also postponment of collection ijf rent.
