WATER IN MILK.

A VENDOR FINED. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. .Tames Frederick .lepson, formerly a milk vendor, was fined £5 for selling adulterated milk. The prosecution stated samples showed twenty and ten per cent, of added water. For the defence it was pleaded that Jepson Was a small dealer at the time and had to take the milk offered. Ho was not responsible fof the added water. The .Magistrate said the vendor was responsible to the public, who must be protected.
