PERSIA.
FATE OF THE ARMENIANS. THOUSANDS MASSACRED. Received May 22, 10.40 p.m. London, May 22. The Russian entry into Trcbizond has thrown light on the fate of the Armenians. Three thousand of the leading families were ordered to procure wagons and remove goods. Four days later the wagons were brought back; the occupants had -been plundered and massacred. Other groups followed, and thus ten thousand of the Armenian populace were exterminated. Practically the same programme was carried out at Eriterum, where the population, was estimated at 35,000.
