DEBATE ON CONSCRIPTION. Melbourne, May 19. The House of Representatives continued the debate on conscription. Mr. Watt, advocating its adoption, said that most of the big war work would have to be done by October. If the Allies could not definitely win then, they would lose. Mr. Anstey asked for the conscription of wealth to the extent of one-fifth of the possessions of everybody in Australia.
