NEW PLYMOUTH CLUB. At Waiwakaiho on Tuesday, the ladies played a bogie match for a prize presented by the captain (Mrs. Johns). A strong wind was blowing and conse(|uently. the scores returned were not good, few players completing the round of 18 holes. Following are the best scores handed in:— Miss F. Putt 8 down Mrs. Birch-Johnston 11 down Mrs. R. Gray 12 down Miss L. Reed 13 down Mrs. Whetter 15' down Sliss K. Free 15 down The match was a "gift for soldiers" one, and although onl< about a dozen players took part, between them they managed to send some thirty articles (such as khaki handkerchiefs, sticks, tins of fish, condensed milk, and also cigarftes). Another of these matches will - played next month. There will be an match next Tuesday. A mixed foursomes (flag) match will be played at Waiwakaiho this afternoon.
