BAKING TRADE.
NEW AWARD FOR OPERATIVES. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. The award for Wellington operative bakers has been filed. It provides for a forty-cightJiour week, time worked in excess of ten hours on any one day to he reckoned as overtime. A journeyman employed making dough by machine or hand may start Earlier than the prescribed time (4 n.m.), but must be paid 5s a week extra. Provision is included for earlier starting on Saturday, and day? preceding holidays. The minimum wages are: Foreman £3 10s per week; -oiirneyman or pastrycook, £3; laborer,' £2 13s. The award runs for three years ffom 22nd inst.
