FARMERS' ONION.
KAPONGA BRANCH. (Contributed) Tho annual meeting of the above was held on May 9th, in tiie Town Hall, there was a good attendance. Mr. A. Atkinson, who had been president for the past two years, retired at his own request, and the election of officers resulted as follows: Messrs Geo. Death (president); A. V. Tate (vicepresident) ; R. D. Sugg (secretary); B. Fearon (auditor). The executive members are: Messrs J. Turner, E. Northrop, C. Gwynne, Fallorin, D. Black, A. Althusen. It was arranged that five officials be a quorum. Mr. Tait was chosen as the branch delegate to attend the Provincial conference. The balance-sheet showed a credit of £1 Us lOd for the past year. Mr. W. Douglas Ayson, representative for the N.Z. Fertiliser Co., Ltd., was in attendance, and addressed those present on the objects of his company, witli the result that over £4OO worth of shares were taken up in the room. A vote of thanks to the retiring officers was carried by acclaftmation.
