TOWN IMPROVEMENTS.
THE NEW THEATRE. Good progress is being made with the building of the new theatre ("Everybody's") at the rear of the block adjoining the Criterion Hotel. Th# architect (Mr. H. Grierson) «aa in town on Tuesday, and expressed the opinion to a News' reporter that when the theatre opens towards the end of July New Plymouth will possess a picture theatre aeoood to uone iu New Zealand. THREE THEATRES IN. POLL It is the intention of the directors of the Taranaki Amusements, Ltd., to pW in an orchestra of 12 players, and in the' lounge, which will oe sumptuously Jurnished, a marble bar. '■"* There has been some delay in reseating the Empire Theatre owing to the material not coming to- hand, but it is expected that the seats will installed next or the following week. The Theatre Royal will be nin every;night as a picture theatre. -The company will therefore have the three theatres in full swing every night.
