LATE SHIPPING.
1 NOTES. The shallowness of water on the Patea bar is practically holding up shipping to that port. The Kapuni left Welling" ton on Tuesday for Wanganui, instead of Patea, and will load cheese railed from Patea for Wellington. The Hawera find Aorere did not leave Wellington fov Patea, their departures 'being postponed. The coastal steamer Tainui left Waitara at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, with a load of hides. The vessel returns to-day.
