George Fyfe Bishop, a- well-known solicitor, and secretary of the Rangitikei Hunt Club, about 50 years of age, and a married man, whilst walking down Wellington road on Saturday" evening was struck by a goods train as it was passing Wellington road crossing, and. was killed instantaneously, his right leg being dislocated, while there was also an injury to the skull. This crossing has been the scene of twoprevious fatalities, and it is also the place where W. Broad was killed on his motor-cycle. Mr. Bishop leaves a widow. FATALITY AT ALTON. Hawera, May 6. Joseph Wytkin, a married man, was acidentally killed this morning while driving a'milk-wagon to the Alton' fac-, tory. ■ DEATH FROM HEART DISEASE. Hastings, Yesterday. Miss Margaret Swan, aged 67, formerly a well-wnown Auckland vocalist, wsa found dead on Saturday night at the residence of her brother-in-law, Don-' aid Banks, a solicitor. The cause of death was heart disease. Deceased has a married sister, Mrs. Green, of Onehunga, and two other sisters who' reside in Australia^
