FROM THE PRIME MINISTER. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Yesterday. Replying to a labor deputation, Mr. Massev said that the Government, was determined to give returned soldiers every opportunity to follow their old or new occupations, but .was determined to see that returned soldiers who wished to enter a new sphere of activity, because of their injuries, were not employed by unscrupulous employers. Regarding increased rents in Wellington since the outbreak of the war, he said the matter was not foreseen when the war commenced, but he would consult Ifis colleagues and the Labor Department with the objeot of finding some method of relieving the present difficulty.
