ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
'A WOMAN'S SUICIDE. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, April 2. A married woman named Jemima Walslie, 42 years of age, was found dead this morning in a yard at the rear of the residence of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Howan, in Daniel street. She had been staying with her parents for some time, and 'beyond a slight mental depression had been in good health. The first knowledge her parents had of any trouble was when Mrs. Walslie was found dead with her throat cut, and a razor beside her. It is understood that Mrs. Walslie formerly resided in Foxton. She leaves a family of five children.'
DEATH FOLLOWS A FALL. Dunedin', May 1. John Andrews, a painter ' living in Hyde street, fell 40ft from the turret on the Salvation Army Barracks this morning, fracturing his left thigh and injuring his face. He had mounted a ladder to wash the turret. Andrews, who was a widower, about 00 years of age, died in the hospital late this afternoon.
A CHILD DROWNED. Dunedin, May 1. A child nnmed Wilson, aged about three >ears, whose parents reside at Shag Point, was drowned on Saturday. The child was missed, and on a search being made the body was found floating in the sea, but when it was brought ashore life was extinct.
