A PROGRESSIVE FIRM.
RED POST FURNISHING CO. ' PURCHASE OF MR. E. DINGLE'S BUSINESS. The experience of the Red Post Furnishing Company furnishes a proof of the well-known axiom that a progressive policy is nowadays the surest road to success in any branch of business. This progressive firm, under the management of Mr, J. W. Harden, has adopted a live policy during the past fev? years,i and the result is evidenced by the marvellous expansion in the firm's business. This prove beneficial to both the firm and also the customer, who is enabled to obtain a wider range of choice and alsd secure his goods at a cheaper price. Despite the fact that the company two or three years ago erected very large ahd modem buildings for the display of their vast stock, the company already finds it necessary to make alterations'to cope with their continually expanding business, and these alterations include the provision of hew offices and storage accommodation. The year just ended has proved a record one for the company, and as showing the extensive area over which the firm oper(ttesfi it might be mentioned that several orders lately have come from, places south of TTawera, whilst orders were also received from Tanmarunui, Tahora, and Koliuratahi, no less than five wedding orders being received from the lastnamed place in a fortnight. All other parts of Taranaki contribute their quota of orders. In New Plymouth itself the company is meeting with excellent support from townspeople, and arrangements have now been made to deal with the greatly increased business. The company has purchased Mr. E. Dingle's business, and this shop will be closed as from Monday. All the goods will be transferred to the Red Post, and Mr. -Dingle himself, who has been sixteen years in the business in New Plymouth and will be a shareholder in the Red Post Co., will take Mr. Somervill's place at the Red Post, where he will be able to attend to all his old customers. His stock was acquired by the company at a low figure, and the bargain will be passed on to the public, who will have an opportunity of buying the goods very cheaply when the sale ..opens in a few weeks' time. This opportunity will undoubtedly be seized with avidity, as all furnishings have considerably advanced in price since the war.
