London, May 1, When the Russians entered the town of Trebizond it was totally abandoned, and full of corpses of massacred Armenian women and children.

Petrograd reports that the Turks have been strongly reinforced in the region of Trebizond and Urzcrut. Austrian guns and large quantities of munitions have oeen railed to Angora, and taken thence by motors. These new factors are accounting for the temporary suspension of the Russian offensive.
