AN INJUSTICE.
To the Editor. Sir, —When reading the report of the veterans' function in the Daily Xews, I noticed that Mr. Okey emphasised the fact that men were urgently needed to keep the Reinforcements up to full strength, and he expressed the liopo that all present would use their influence to obtain recruits. Now, if Mr. Okey will practice what lie preaches he -will take a trip to Moturoa, and pay a visit to the Taranaki (N.Z.) Oil Wells, of which he is an advisory director. Then let him ask the manager one question: Why did he dismiss two married men with families to support and retain the services of three single eligible men, who are still employed there? If he takes this step 'he will be doing what he is advising others to do, and performing a duty which 13 expected from any man in the capacity of advisory director of this or any other company.—l am, otc., FAIR PLAY.
