WAITARA.
(From Our Own Correspondent). The secial given in the Foresters' Hall on Thursday evening as a welcome to the Rev. C. B. and Mrs. Hinton was largely attended, a most enjoyable evening being spent. In reply to welcomes extended oil behalf of the circuit by Messrs G. Pcarse, Lawrence and Andrews, Mr. Hinton remarked that the first impression given him of Waitara was a rather gloomy one, but it had since proved otherwise, and he hoped, by -a hearty co-operation of both young and old, to make his term of ministry here a very successful one. In conclusion, Mr. Hinton remarked that Mrs.' Hinton would be pleased to meet the ladies of the circuit at her residence on AVednesday afternpons. The musical part of the evening consisted of songs by Mrs. Knight. Misses ('oilier and Annie Wakely, and Most Henderon and Durness; duets by Mis9es Pearce and 'Elliot, Cordon and Ethel Fraser, and Mrs. and Miss Andrews; a pianoforte solo by Miss Daporapis Joll, and a recitation by Mr, H. Tate. The accompaniments were played by Mrs. Fraser and Misses I), .101 l and Ivy Collier. The singing of a hymn brought proceedings to a close. The following men will be leaving AYaitara on Monday morning to join the lfith Reinforcements at TrentliamiTC. Vaiighan, J. Grift'ley, C. F. Turner, W. D. Fulton, J. Tuson (Waitara), W. C.
