ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
FOUND HANGED. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Auckland, Yesterday. Horace Howard Crofts was found dead, hanged by a rope in a cellar beneath his residence, Pompallier Terrace, Ponsonby. He had evidently tied a rope to a gas-pipe and the other end round his neck, and then jumped off a box. He had been suffering from a nervous breakdown. WOMAN'S FATAL *SSg .. Auckland, Yesterday. Georgina Carroll, a widow of 50 years, fell down a staircase in Lome Street on Saturday evening and broke her back. She died in hospital yesterday.
