CHILDREN'S TEETH.

6TATE ACTION PROMISED. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Yesterday. Tn reply to a deputation from the Wellington Hospital Board and Wellington Education Board, who drew his attention to the importance of some system being devised for dental attention being given to children attending State schools, the Hon. G. W. Russell said there should be a written report obtained as to the dental condition and needs of school children. In,cases Where parents were unable to do so the State must provide the necessary treatment. Under any new scheme he thought the services of local dentists should he utilised. The State inspecting officer should report generally and visit for treatment purposes only places where there were no resident dentists. Details of the scheme would be carefully considered and receive the attention of the Government at the earliest possible moment.
