A Wellington message sayg that Prf; vate George Simpson, who was previously reported missing, is now believed to have been killed in action on August 21st, IMS. His next-of-kin it J. B. Simpson (brother), who resides'at Whakatane.

Molyneux, ex-naval chaplain and international footballer, who toured New Zealand with an English team a ifiw years ago. The Kev. Molyneux hat Been lately in.charge of thovßeimena'' Mission at Frisco, and comes to New Zealand to enlist for war service.-
A large circle of friend* in Stratford, particularly amongst jtlic- older residents of the district, will learn with mucli\ro-gr<-t of the death of iwo w«l| known figures in Stratford in the- earlier diivs (sayg the Post). We refer toi'Mr. Neil McQueen, who died at rlejidcrepn, Auckland, on April 14, in par, and "to his brother, Mr. Pum'iin McQuivu, who died at Maungatipiri, rm tli? 4amo day, and'almost at the same hour.'" They were the first settlers in the Skinner Road district, taking tip land there. About twenty years ago, Mr. Neil McQueen'went north to reside in and subsequently at Auckland, and about ten years ago, Mr. Duncan McQueen left Stratford for northern Walroa. ■ Both brothers were held in very high, esteem by all who knew them.
