•NOT WANTED. ATTORNEY-GENERAL OFFERS TO ENLIST. Sydney, April 14. The Atto'rney-.General, Mr. Hall, says that he offered to enlist, but was told ■he must be content with doing good work 'here. Mr. Hall added that some people may not think so. TOTAL OF AUSTRALIAN FORCES. • Melbourne, April 14, To the end of March 160,060 Commonwealth soldiers were embarked and 04,033 are still in various camps. This gives a total of 233,099. PATRIOTIC FUNDS.' Melbourne, April 14. A deputation, representing the Trades Hall Council, asked Mr. Pearce to place the patriotic funds under Government control. The Minister agreed that it was necessary, and suggested tliat uniform legislation should be adopted by the States.
