The Frankfurter Zeitung published the following Vienna message: "The Neue Freie Presse learns from a special Dutch source that the Paris conference discussed forcing the Scheldt with 200,000 men. Holland received the news via London on March 13, and the. Ministers' Council and tile Queen immediately ordered the fortification of Flushing and the mobilisation of 350.000 men." The Vienna journal quotes a Rotterdam statement thai England intends paying Japan with the Dutch colonics.
