CAPTURED BRITISH AVIATORS FORCED TO SURRENDER. London, April 13. Letters from the airmen who were missing- in tlie raid on Schlpswig on March 25 show that the seaplanes had 1 already completed their n'er the ■ airslieds an(l were steering homeward in a heavy snowstorm when Lieut. Reid saw Lieut. Hay struggling in the water beside his machine. He planed down and hauled Hay on board with terrible difficulty, owing to the heavy sea and to his being numbed by the cold. All the time they were under fire. Then the machine refused to leave the water, and an enemy warship came up and the aviators surrendered. DEFENCE AGAINST RAIDS. New York, April 13. The Danish steamer Frederik VIII lias arrived from Britain. She reports that every preparation has been made in Scotland to resist any German naval aerial invasion. NEW FRENCH AEROPLANE. Times and Sydney Sun Services. Paris, April 13. Le Journal announces that the new aeroplane, with a motor of new design, has twice beaten the world's speed records and the records of military machines before the war.
