SENSATIONAL TURKISH REPORT, OK A BRITISH DEFEAT, Received April 13, '8.5 p.it; Constantinople, April 12. A communique says: The British buffered a fresh and bioody, defeat at Falaliie. Three thousand dead were counted in front of our lines. The British, after an, hour and a half of artillery 'preparation on Sunday morning, attacked , with their ontin; forces from the right.bank.,. The battle raged for six hours and the enemy suffered immense losses. The. enemy penetrated portions of our trenches, but we bayonetted the majpfity and, drove back the survivors to their own trenches. Prisoners state that the 13th British Division, which was recently at the Dardanelles, suffered most. "ALL'S WELL." SAYS 'GENERAL TOWNSHEND. ENEMY FLOODING THE LAND. Received April 13, 8.25 p,m, London, April 12.. A cablegram was received from General Townshend on Friday saying that all was as well as could be expected at Kut, and he would be relieved in the near future. Other messages that have lieen received in London regarding Mesopotamia show that the river is above land level. It is believed that the enemy is purposely flooding some areas.
