The Telegraaf, discussing the military preparations, thinks the Government regards the Allied offensive as imminent, and wishes to secure the frontier against retreating German troops. AN OFFICIAL STATEMENT The Hague, April !>. After a secret sitting of the. Second Chamber the Government announced that the su&pension of furlough was a precaution for the strict maintenance of neutrality, not a sequel to any political complications, REASON FOR PRECAUTIONS. Received April 0, 8.35 p.m. Amsterdam, April !>. The Telegraaf says that Holland's precautions are simply to ensure protection against the German concentrations on the frontiers.
