A PRISONER'S DEATH. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Auckland, April 2. A married man who was being brought up from Thames by a constable last night was found to have disappeared when the steamer arrived at the wharf. No trace of him could be found until this afternoon, whei< his body was 'liscovered in the harbor. TRAIN FATALITY. Timaru, Apvil 2. fPeter Sullivan, who fell off. the express near Seadowh on Thursday, and had his foot crushed, also sustaining other injuries, died in the Timaru hospital on Saturday., A CHILD'S DEATH. Auckland, April i. A child named Ernest Hayward'died to-day from scalds received through falling over an oil stove. POUND DROWNED. Wellington, April 2. The body of Charles Howap was found floating in Oriental Bay. The deceased man was formerly a carrier, but nothing is known as to his recent doings, or as to how he got into the water.
