GRIEVANCE WITH DOCTORS. By. Tt'egraph.—Press Association. • "'Wellington, Yesterday. ''' A deputation, representing the frvendly societies of Wellington, waited on Hons. G. W. Russell and J. A. Hunan this sftornooii to ask if they could give ■Assistance in connection with the present breach wilh the doctors. They pointed out that the lodges wore quite without doctors and that the position was very acute. Seven] conferences liad leen held but, while, the societies were prepared to raise the payment per member per annum for medical attention from los to ISs, the doctors demanded 245. The deputation' (isked if present u< future legislation would prevent the lodges importing doctors from America.
The Ministers expressed sympathy, and Mr. Russell said any medical man qualified to register in the United Kingdom was qualified to register in New Zealand. He would do everything possible to overcome the present deadlock.
