A fair amount is offering, and Hunters and Pearl are more enquired for. Plenty of Tuscans are on the market, and prices are unaltered. As compared with last week, Pearl is rather firmer. Millers are becoming .concerned at the importation of pollard from Australia, where the large War Office order for flour is assisting to cause an accumulation of stocks of offal, and pollard is quoted at a price to enable it to be landed in the North Island at £6. The oats market is weaker consequent upon the lower prices ruling in Southland. Garton oats are not worth more than 2s to 2s Id at country stations, and not easy to sell at these figures. The value of Duns has eased in proportion. Oatsheaf chaff is dull of sale, with little business doing. Potatoes—Not many are offering. There is a demand from Auckland, but local merchants are unable to obtain shipping space to fill the orders. The price is still £5 at country stations.. NEW PLYMOUTH MARKETS. RETAIL PRICES.
