The limes' correspondent reports that obstinate lighting, with a clear preponderance on the Russian side, continues on the entire front from Riga to Poliesie. The Russian advance on the left hank of the Dwina helps to nullify the Germans' elaborate labor throughout tlie winter, while the pressure on such a wide front distracts and prevents the Germans from localising the conflagration. A GERMAN REPORT. Reecived March 29, 8:45 p.m. London, March 28. A Berlin communique reports that the Russians again hurled fresh masses on the German lines at Postavv, where tlie Saarbrueck Corps are bravely defying the assault. An attack in several waves by two Russian divisions was dashed to pieces by the Brandenburgers and Hanoverians, who are fighting with the Sarbrueck Corps.
IN ASIA MINOR. SMALL TOWNS CAPTURED. Received March 30, 12.35 a.m. Petrograd, MareTi 29. A communique says: We occupied a small town thirty miles east of Trebizond, and repulsed a series of Turkish counter-attacks. We carried a night attack on the town of Hasan, south-east of Bitlis.
