INGLEWOOD.
(From Our Own Correspondent.) Inglewood, Yesterday. The annual meeting of the Golf Club was held in the Parish Hall on Monday evening, when Mr. 11. J. M. Thomson (the president), was in the chair, there being a fair attendance of members. The balance-sheet was most satisfactory, the previous year's debit balance of £l-1 being converted into a credit balance of £1 5 14 !>'d. The meeting decided to vote £5 to the Taranaki Ambulance Fund. The election of officers resulted as follows: President, Mr. F. Brown; captain, Mr. H. J. M. Thomson; secretary, Mr. Darlow; treasurer, Mr. J. Sutherland; two members to complete committee, Messrs. O'Carroil and Surrey. The opening day was fixed for April 13th. It was also .agreed to remit subscriptions of members either serving or going into pimp before the Ist June. A military wedding was solemnised in the Presbyterian Church on Tuesday morning, when Miss Ida Sutherland, younger daughter of Mr, and Mrs. G. R. Sutherland, of Inglewood, was married to Private J. Harris, second son of Mrs. Harris, also of Inglchvood. Mr. Norman Sutherland acted as best man, and Miss Sutherland as bridesmaid, while the bride was given away by her father The Rev. Roon officiated. The happy couple left by train for New Plymouth and Auckland, where the honeymoon is to be spent. The bridegroom leaves in a few days for the front. The Rev. Featherstone leaves early in April for Milton, his new charge. At a meeting of the Methodist Ladies' Guild, on Tuesday, a presentation of a pair of silver vases was made to Mrs. Featherstone, who has been president of the Guild for some time.
