We captured, after a desperate struggle, two lines of trendies v.est of Poslavy, The enemy is obstinately resisting our offensive between the Narotch and the Vischenevskoe lakes. One of our Submarines, under battery fire at Eunculdak, sunk a steamer towing a string of coal-laden barges. Our troops on the coast dislodged the Turks and crossed to the left bank of the Baltatchi Darassi. THE GERMAN VERSION. USUAL CLAIMS OF SUCCESS. Received March 28, 0.35 p.m. London, March 27. A Berlin wireless message says:—The Russians, with unprecedented numbers of men and munitions, violently attacked General von Hindenburg's armies north and west of Jacobstadt. The Russians suffered enormous losses. There were similar unsuccessful attacks at Postavy, fifty miles south of Dvinsk.
