MEXICAN UPHEAVAL.
ANXIETY IN AMERICA. Times and Sydney Sim Services. London, March 26. The Times' correspondent at Washington says there is increasing nervousness as regards Mexico. The War Department admits that Herrera, CarransM's chief lieutenant in the north; has gone over to Villa, with two thousand iioops, and other defections arc rumored. Bad news has been received from Tampion. The populace of a wide district is inflamed against Americans, and a* uprising in favor of Villa' is feared; It is probable that,, in order to cope with (ho situation and keep open communication , the regular army will guard the Senator Sherman, in the Senate, si;irf that General Pershing might meet witli the same fate that liordon met at Khar> town.
