THE GRIERSON INQUIRY.
FURTHER EVIDENCE. ' By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Lart Night. The Gricrson inquiry was continued to-day. John Payne, recalled, alked in cross-examination it he believed the ' evidence of Gricrson's uncle, said: "Kot . in these times; I require more definite evidence." Referring to the docuifirtti found in Grierson's box, Payne said hi refused to let the Defence authoritiea here see them, because he considered they would not act. He had communis cated with the War Office instead. Lieut. Grierson, examined at length, related the story of his life, and explained that certain figures on paper found in the box related simply to the, diclension of difficult German verb*. The inquiry was adjourned.'
