The death teok place at the Patea hospital last week of- Mr. John Milne, Government Meat Inspector at the local meat works. ,
The death has tccumd of the Rev. C. T. B. Kyngdon, at Treniniek, New Quay, at the age of 94 yean. The last living he held was that of vicar, of Holy Trinity, Devonport, Auckland, in 1903-4.
Mr. Paul Reinert, formerly ,of tin West Coast Tiweg Staff and auj>sequently connected with mining affap* at the Greenstone, died at Clirfctchurcb last week, aged 84.
Mr. .T. G. Scoullar, of- the- Otago Daily Times staff, has five sons in the service of the Kmpire. The last cf the quintet entered Trentham camp a few days ago. Mr. W. Burnip, an old resident of Can. terbury, andi in the seventies well known as an oarsman and athlete, died at Kaiapoi on Tuesday last. Mrs. Inder, wife of the acting-Chief Pestmaster at New Plymouth arrived by the express last night, and is staying at Eahui.
Mr. W. P. Kellehcr, of the Xow Plymouth Customs office, has received word that he lias been successful in pasting the senior civil service examination. Mr. Kellohcr is a son of Mr. E. Kellehcr, ot Stratford, and was educated at ths Stratford District High School.
