HIGH COMMISSIONER'S REPORT, The Department- of Agriculture, Industries, and Commerce has received the following cablegram from tlic High Commissioner for New Zealand, dated London, March 4. (Note—Quotations, unless otherwise specified, are average prices on spot);— Frozen meat.—All descriptions continue in great demand, owing to a short supply released for the consumption of the general public. Arrivals of Homekilled are very heavy this week, but the market is not effected to any extent f>y this. Mutton. —Canterbury, and other brands .than Canterbury, 7jd per lb; ewes 7}d. Lamb.—Canterbury B}d per lb; other brands than Canterbury, last season's, [BJd; this season's SJd. Beef.'—There id no New Zealand beef at the market. Chilled hinds 8d; fores OJd. Slitter.—The market is very firm.
