ALARM BEING FELT. OLD TURKS MOVING* Times and Sydney Sun Services. , Received Feb. 25, 5.30 p.m. London, Feb. 24. Despite Enver Pasha's assurances that Erzerum is an unimportant town, the general situation is beginning to alarm the Turks. Osman Pasha, Abdi Pasha, and Soual Pasha, are heading an extensive Old Turks' movement at Const&ntinople and in the provinces, with headquarters apparently at Smyrna. The serious shortage of provisions is assisting the movement, which threatens a convulsion. The Daily News' correspondent at Athens states that the General Staff has issued a. presumably comforting proclamation, premising to retake Erzerum, and eidiag, "Be patient, God is with us."
