Cheese.—The market is quiet. Canadian, market quiet but steady, per cwt., 99s to 100s; New Zealand, market quiet at the decline, white 95s to 90s, colored 90s up to 975. fair to good quality 93s to 945; English Cheddar, firm market, 100s to 108s; Cheshire, 114s to 120s; United State*, market quiet but stcadv, 90s to 975, flats 95s to 90s, Hemp.—Manila, market quiet, except for lower grades, for which prices have advanced. Coarse has sold nt £53 for Mnrcli to May shipment. Value, new graded, fair, £SO. The output from Manila for the week ended February 19 was 33,000 bales. New Zealand, 'also quiet at about good-fair, £47, fair £45 for February to April shipment. Nearer positions command premium of about 10s. Hops.—The market is firm, but little doing. A limited supply. English, per cwt., 140s to 150s; Californian, 95s to 115s. Wheat.—The market is firm, but on account of high prices buyers are cautious.
