.(From. Our Own Correspondent.) Stratford, Yesterday. Rev. J. Pattison, minister in charge of tlie St. Andrew's Presbytorian Church, Stratford, has accepted a call to the Presbyterian Church at Rcmuera, Auckland. What might have been a serious accident was narrswly averted at the Stratford station last nijht. Mrs. Flyiin, «f To Woia, was an intending passenger by the north mail train, and made an attempt to board the train while it was in motion. The gate of the carriage was shut, and the lady, not knowing how to open it, became excited and fell between the carriages and the platform. The train was promptly pulled up, and Mrs. Flynn was extricated from her perilous position, suffering only fresa fright and a shaking. One cas;e of infantile paralysis has been reported to the local health authorities.
