TARANAKI AGRICULTURAL SOCIETY.
This year's Taranaki Metropolitan Agricultural Society's Show should prove one of the most interesting yet held bv the society., Special mention .must he made of the excellent entries in the cattle class, os]>eeially the milking sections. Some of the best cattle in the Xortli Island, from various owner's herds, will be competing, the judges will be having an anxious two days. There is a splendid entry in the horse section, and most of' the classes are better filled than in previous shows. This year's pony class is one of the largest exhibits yet held by the society, and the same remarks will apply to all leaping and other ring competitions. On the Wednesday, the society has made special train arrangements, the usual 4.20 train having been delayed till C p.m.; on the People's Day, Thursday, special train arrangements tlip same as last year have been made. The society has arranged for Mrs. Wood's orchestra to play on the ground on Thursday. Luncheon and afternon tea can be had on the ground. The secretary has arrangements well in hand, and the society only wants a few fine days to have a successful show year.
