By Telegraph,—Press Rotonia, Last Night., At the annual meeting of .the Newri paper Proprietors' Association, Mr. P f Selig (Christchtirch) presided. Tie president's address referred at length to the difficulties in connMtiOß with supplies of paper, emphasising th« seriousness of the position as to' tb# question of extra freight on paper* and the increased charges of press telegrams. Regarding paper, it was pointed oui that many offices are Bhort of supplies, p.nd the position is getting more scats daily.
A very heavy agenda paper was gono through. It was decided to consider the question of paper supplies at *j special meeting on Wednesday evening. Mr. Selig was re-elected president; Mr, F. Hyman, vice-president; Mr. J. S. Berry, secretary and treasurer. A vote of thanks was n.t«sed for the) hospitality extended to the Association'* delegates to the World's Press Congress at San Francisco, and it was decided to invite the members of the Press Con* gress, to be held at Sydney in 1918, to visit New Zealand, and to request til* Government to grant them facilities for travel in the Dominion.
