The performers are now hard at prac* tico each afternoon and evening rehearsing for the production of the Fete of Nations, which opons at the Theatre Royal on Thursday week, Mr. tyriU claims to be able to stage a. professional programme with the material'at his disposal, nnd is well satisfied with the progress the performers are making. With such a splendid production at such popular prices as i>* and Is, the promoters have, no doubt that, the theatre will be packed for seven nights, the tiimt as in other towns in Xew Zealand. The Southland Times (Invereargil!) roportal that for the first time in Invereargil) tiio large theatre management had to refuse. admission two nights in succession, which speaks volumes for the Fete cf Nations as a spectacular cxtravagamn. It also reflects great credit on tlic 150odd performers. Such a varied programme, which includes all classes nf dancing, marching, Ringing, and novelty items, calisthenics, etc., claims to ha.'a items to suit all tastes.
