KORU. (From Our Own Correspondent.) Favored with fine weather, the annual school picnic took place on Friday lust, when a good number of scholars and their parents were present. The newlyappointed teacher (Mrs. Pearson) and the chairman (Mr. F. Aroa) did their best to provide an enjoyable time. In the evening a concert and dance took place, Mr. F. Aroa acting as M.C. The music was supplied by Mr. A. E. R. Pearson, who ably acted as pianist. There were visitors from Waitara and Oakura, and although the company present was perhaps not so large as last year the dancers kept going until the early morning.
