i*i THE TUNNELLING CORPS. REMOVING RECRUITING OBSTACLES. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Feb. 13. The Defence Minister ha« received the following cable for the High Commissioner for ]\ T ew Zealand :—Major Duigan. who is in charge of the New Zealand Tunnelling Corps, reports that an Inspector of Royal Engineers highly complimented the corps and states that they are quite lit for the front. They are only waiting for equipment. Replying to a deputation of the local Recruiting Committee Mr Allen said lie would give instructions that men who had come into town expecting to be called upifor the infantry be sent into camp without delay, and also that if men in one district desired to enlist in another district they could do so without leaving the district they were then residing in.-
