FETE OF NATIONS.
GRAND EXTRAVAGANZA. Over ]">() performers are now hard at work rehearsing for the. production of a dazzling extravaganza, the ''Fete of Nations." The programme is a most varied one and will be staged at the Theatre Koyal for seven nights, commencing Thursday, March 2. Mr. Lints has brought with him over £7O worth of gear and electrical effects for the mounting of spectacular marches and other original items, and the New Plymouth public are promised more than their money's worth; also items quite new to this town. The following is an.extract Iran the Wanganui Chronicle headed "A Great Reception Last Night":—"Without exception every item met. with a great reception, and from the rise of the curtain on the forty Japanese till the fall at the conclusion of the dazzling spectacular Grand March of all Nations, there was not a dull moment. Applause hearty and prolonged greeted the performers. It was remarked on all sides that it was right up to professional standard, and far ahead of anything of a similar nature previously staged in Wanganui."
