THE DOMAIN BOARD. / (From Our Own Correspondent.) Stratford, Last Night. The annual meeting of the Domain Board was held this afternoon. Present: Messrs Thompson, Morison, and T. H, Penn. Mr. Morison was voted to the chair. The balance-sheet for the year 1915, showing a balance of £34 9s 4d, was read. On the motion of Mr. Percy Thomson, seconded by Mr. Penn, Mr. G. U. Curtis was elected chairman for the ensuing vear. Mr. T. D. Wilson was granted permission to cut cocksfoot on King Edward Park, for 10s, Permission was granted the Stratford Croquet and Park Tennis Club to hold a garden party in Victoria Park on Thursday next, and to make a charge at the gates. Permission was granted Mr. J. Fawkner to transfer a section on Warwick Road to the Farmers' Organisation, Hbwera. GENERAL NEWS. Captain Norbury is at present on a visit to Stratford. The scholars of the Church of England Sunday school held their annual picnic at the Ngaere Gardens yesterday. A most enjoyable day was spent, and the train journey added a further attraction to the outing. Broadway north was full of excitement this morning, a small boy missing being the cause. After a hunt the little chap was discovered over the bridge near the Commercial Hotel, and when found he stated he was off to the seaside to have a paddle. The general Committee of the A. and P. Association will meet to-morrow afternoon at 1.30, to consider the holding of a gymkhana, the proceeds to jo devoted to patriotic purposes. Sergeant T. Laverty returned to Stratford last evening. Sergeant Laverty left with the main body for Egypt, and has been invalided home.
