THE GERMANS REPULSED. &N ATTACK DRIVEN BACK Received Feb. 11, 10.30 p.m. Paris, Feb. 11. A cotnirmimjtie says: \Yc made continued progrpss in the Artois region by bombing west of f.a Folie. Two German attacks west of Hill 140 were completely repulsed. The Germans exploded a mine north of the Neuville-Theuls road, and we occupied the crater. The enemy tried to debouch south of the Somme, but were driven back.

A German communique says: "We captured a large section of a trench north-west of Vimy, and recaptured in the neighbourhood of Neuville a crater in the enemy's occupation. We capHired twenty-two machine-guns, and we repulsed local attacks south of the Somme. The enemy north of Bacquineourt obtained a foothold in a small .ection of our formost trenches."
CROWN PRINCE IN ALSACE. HAS TO FLEE FROM BOMLS. Received Feb. 12, 12.30 a.m. Berne, Feb, 11. The German Crown Prince is visiting the Alsatian front. He arrived at Saint Lousis, near Basle. Suddenly French aeroplanes from Belport appeared, and in a terrified rush the population went indoors. The Crown Prince took refuge in a cellar, and motored to Altkirch when the airmen had passed on.
