STATEMENT BY PRIME MINISTER j By Telegrapli.—Press Association. "j Wellington, Last Xight. * Referring to the shortage of shipping, the Prime Minister informed a reporter to-night that it has been suggested that the Imperial authorities were about to requisition two vessels engaged in the England and New Zealand trade. He had communicated with the Board of s Trade on the subject, and had received k 'communication from London to the effect that one of the mentioned ; would not be interfered with, while the ' other would not be required to give mow than a few weeks to the Imperial eer- ' vice. This news, said Mr, Massey, wa» , satisfactory, as indicating that the Dominion was not going to be deprived of the service of vessels at this juncture. '
