SUMMARY OF BOARD'S WORK. By Telegraph.—Press XssocluJon. Wellington, Jan. 19. Four hundred and ninety-one pensions, representing an annual charge of £22,108, have been granted to date by the War Pensions Board; also 98 allowances for fixed periods involving an additional payment of £2032. At a meeting this week the board dealt with 41 eases 20 being claims from soldiers and 21 from dependents of .soldiers. Eleven were granted pensions totalling £527 Jier ammi, seven received allowances for fixed periods totalling £25(1, and two applications were adjourned. Twenty of the dependents were grautcd pensions totalling £714 per annum. 1 he following table shows the summary of the board's operations to date: Soldiers. Depend'ts.
