TRAINING CAMPS.. FEATHERSTON NEARLY HEAVf. ONLY T\TO PERMANENT CAMPS. . By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night, ■ The Minister, for Defence stated jit' terday that the new camp at Fe&therston would be ready for occupation Ui the near future. The work'was very f*r forward, and the camp Would receive troops within a very few days. "It Is a model camp," spill Itfiv Allen. "The raads, drainage, and water supply *re ail good; hot and cold showers and electric light have been installed; and there are comfortable huts and dining quarters. The hospital [building is alr*ady in use. The Fcatherston camp willhfcve permanent quarters for some <4OOO men, and an additional body of men will Ik accommodated in tents near at .Frenthum and Featherston arc to be the two permanent camps. The preeent Tauherenlkau camp will be abandoned, and Rangiotu camp will also be emptied, though it may be later."
