j TIKORANGI BEATS KINGS'. At the High School grounds yesterday a most enjoyable game was played between Tikorangi and a team from Mr. Newtown King's New Plymouth staff. Good scores were obtained by Kirk (New Plymouth), 43, and P. Scrimgeour 54 (retired) for Tikorangi, but quite a feature of the match was a brilliant catch made by the veterau skipper of ifclio Tikorangi team (J. Sarten). During the afternoon the visiting team were entertainetl by Mr. King's team at lunch, for which Mr. Jack McKenzie, in a happy speech, returned thanks for the Tikorangi cricketers.
