In the Commons Mr. Runciman said he estimated that the British people owned property valued at seventy-two millions sterling in Germany, and the Germans owned 103 millions worth of property in Britain. Mr. King asked whether Britain's advances to the Allies involved a burden of fifty millions sterling for interest annually. TUB GALLIPOLI TROOPS. Mr. Tennant, replying to Mr. Watt, said that the gallant troops who had withdrawn from Gallipoli deserved and would receive all possible consideration for their relief. FEELING IN RUSSIA. The Times' correspondent at Pettograd says that the evacuation of Gallipoli has unpleasantly impressed the general public. Io was received calmly 'by naval and military circles, who for long anticipated it as inevitable because of the developments in the Balkans. The defeat of the Turco-Bulgarian armies is automatically determining the possession of the Dardanelles. A high officer stateß that Russia is able to go on as long as wanted. The technical services are constantly improving, and the output of munitions is doubling. They are confident in their strength and the readiness of the country to endure any trials. The people are' determined to vanquish their inveterate Teutonic foe.
SERBIAN CHILDREN DEPORTED. The Echo de Paris says that ablebodied Serbian children have been transported to Austria and Germany to workin the fields and factories, and only old people and babies remain in Serbia. GERMAN FOOD PROBLEM. _Le Matin states that the food agitation in Germany is becoming a great conspiracy. Socialists have acknowledged that provisions are sufficient, but the distribution is unequal.
